How to Join OBWA

We encourage any wedding-related business or individual in Dare, Currituck, or Hyde Counties to join OBWA. Member benefits include:

• Your business linked on our web site and listed in our official magazine, Outer Banks Bride.
• Access to over 1,000 bridal leads generated from our web site every year.
• The opportunity to exhibit in and sponsor our annual Bridal Expo in January, which draws over 1000 attendees from across the country.
• The opportunity to advertise in our official OBWA magazine, Outer Banks Bride.
• Cooperative advertising opportunities and representation in OBWA advertising.
• National, regional, and local media coverage generated by OBWA's public relations efforts.
• Networking opportunities with other OBWA members.

In order to be a member, your year-round place of business must be located in Currituck, Dare or Hyde counties. We have two membership levels:

• Regular members are those businesses and individuals who directly service and sell goods or services to the bride.
• Associate members are those businesses and individuals who service or sell to OBWA members (such as publications, attorneys, accountants, etc.).

Dues for both membership categories are $295, due annually on June 1. Prorated dues are available for members seeking membership between Feb 1 to May 31. Prorated dues are $100 plus the $50 application fee, with annual dues, $295 due on June 1. Upon receipt of your application and dues payment, our Board of Directors will review your application at the next monthly Board meeting. Once you are accepted into the organization, you will be notified via email and mailed an official member welcome package.
